2 Bedroom Cabin in Christmas

The Getaway is a newer remodeled cabin with 2 bedrooms (Master bedroom has a king size bed - 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds), and 1 bath (shower) located in the cozy village of Christmas located just a few miles west of Munising.
The Getaway Cabin has a flat screen TV with service provided by Jamadots internet/WIFI, tv channels. There is a DVD player with assorted movies for guests to enjoy. Assorted games, books and puzzles are available as well. The decor theme features pictures and maps of Munising & Lake Superior representing the interesting history of the area.
The full size kitchen has all new appliances and is fully equipped with all the eating utensils and cookware. There is a big backyard with a picnic table, a gas grill for all of your outdoor cooking, and a fire pit for your evening camp fires (4 campfire chairs provided). The neighborhood access to Lake Superior is approximately 350'. You can launch your own kayak from the beach. The ATV trailhead is located across the road behind the Casino.

Summary: I couldnt speak more highly about this place. Karen was wonderful and so was the property. The area was beautiful and had tons of things to keep us busy. The fenced in back yard was the cherry on top. Our dog LOVED it. We plan on revisiting next year.

Summary: Great location and house was super clean! Our dogs loved having a fenced in yard, and there was a campground nearby with great walking paths and beach access.

Summary: This was the second time we have stayed at the Getaway Cabin on our trips to the Upper Peninsula. Karen was very attentive and check in with us a couple of times during our stay. We would recommend this site to anyone interested in a place to stay near Munising.

Summary: The place worked out great for us. It was centrally located so we could go exploring east and west in the UP. Cabin had all we needed; kitchen was well stocked with all cooking utensils for indoor and outdoor eating and amenities were all in good working order. Would recommend this place to other people doing the same things we did.

Summary: My husband, our dog, and I enjoyed our stay tremendously. Attractions in Munising stay open much later in the season than other smaller towns but some of the restaurants close by to the rental had already closed for the season. The rental itself and as listed. It was extremely clean upon arrival. Communication with Karen with excellent but not overdone. The beach access down the street is amazing to view stars and search for rocks! The only issue is where the heater was initially placed, when plugged into the closest outlet and also having the fireplace on, it blew a fuse. We switched the heater to a different outlet and didn’t have an issue since. We would definitely stay again!

Summary: 10/10!! Karen truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was fantastic. Karen even left us a very sweet honeymoon gift to help us celebrate our time at her cabin. The location could not be better situated! It is just next to one of the best eateries in Christmas. It was the perfect location to visit everything in the area from hikes and waterfalls to boat tours and visiting small coastal towns. This place truly has it all!

Summary: We were delightfully surprised when stepping into this clean, cozy little cabin. The host, Karen, has thought of many details that make this rental desirable. The location makes it convenient to visit many of the area waterfalls and other outdoor activities. A short walk down to the end of the road brings you to the beautiful Lake Superior shoreline. This place is a gem!

Summary: I cannot say enough good about this vrbo rental. This was my first time using vrbo. The getaway cabin is a perfect location to get to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore area and things to do around the Munising area. The cabin is right next door to the Duck Pond restaurant is a great benefit too, you can walk to dinner! The fenced-in back yard was a bonus having puppies to just let them run and wear off some energy. And the short walk to the end of the road to enjoy the beach for sunrise was GREAT. Karen was such a great hostess, communication was great, she checked in with us at the perfect times to make sure we arrived, if we needed anything & nearing check out. I would highly recommend this location and if we find ourselves looking to stay in Munising again, this would be the only place I would stay! Thank you for making our vacation perfect!

Summary: Cute home and nicely decorated. We were very comfortable. There is a bar with a patio next door but it appeared to be closed two of our three-night stay and on night three, we were not disturbed by any noise. We were traveling with our dog so very pleased to find the backyard completely fenced in. The lake was a very short walk from the home. The location was an easy in and out for sightseeing, shopping, and restaurants. Communication with our host was simple. We enjoyed our stay.
